Re: Life Could Be TRIPLE SWEET
In a surprise to me, not being a follower of it, the Women's Basketball team beat #1 overall Baylor, then #2 (in the region) Tennessee to go to the final 4 of the women's tournament. Has any other school put both the men's and women's teams in the Final 4 the same year? Possibly UConn might have. I may have to try and look that up.

I don't know, but if the Tennessee men won you would think that may have been a year wear both won.

Re: Life Could Be TRIPLE SWEET
A local commentator said 7 teams have fielded both men's and women's programs in the Final Four the same year. And, if you throw in a BCS bowl game the list is 3. That surprised me.
Kevin Ware who broke his leg during the game is doing well and having his 15 days of fame appearing in numerous interviews and even doing the Top 10 on the Letterman show. It's a bit wearing; but, the national media has little else to do between now and Final Four game time.
And, while recovery is always good these days, you still can't be sure he'll ever be the ball player he was; so, let him have his moments of fame.

Re: Life Could Be TRIPLE SWEET
whoooeee, a squeaker for sure. They were ready and I knew we were in trouble when Russ Smith missed 4 free throws in the first 1-1/2 minute or so. No dunks, few drives by Siva or Smith to the bucket until the end. And we stayed into it with 3-point shots (our weakness all year) until Wichita State wore down a bit in the final 4 minutes.
Hope I'm recovered from this by Monday night.

They were a good team. I guess they are all good when you get this far. Nice win.
