The Tim Brewster Experiment Has Failed Miserably
"Oh, he's such a great recruiter!" The bigger question is, can he coach Minnesota to victory at home against South Dakota? Not South Dakota State, not North Dakota State, the South Dakota Coyotes who leaped from Division II officially starting in 2008. The one that lost to Central Florida 38-7 last week. That South Dakota.

All the Dakota schools are improving, including South Dakota, but the Coyotes should not be able to do what they are doing in Minnesota right now.

Exactly. I actually think, speaking of the Dakota schools, that it could be a welcome addition to the MAC. I've always thought that North Dakota State specifically had a lot of promise. At any rate, I think the MAC has to expand by one Western school just to even out the conference.

Well, either that, or add Army. I think Army would compete well in the MAC.

Bah, that can't be good when ESPN makes an upset of Minnesota it's featured game.

Yeah or Navy. The problem is, they are their own little versions of Notre Dame where they each have their own television contracts (with CBS College Sports) and I'm sure they enjoy the schedule flexibility.

Just when you think Minnesota might mount a comeback they go and let South Dakota score again...an embarrasement to the Big 10 and FBS college football at large.

Minnesota wasn't happy with GM. So they hired a giant step backword.

I'm surprised Mason hasn't been hired by somebody else by now. He's not a horrible coach, but if you're an awful school, he can at least get you in a position to play for a bowl game within a handful of years.

This game wasn't even on the board... Covers shows 5 Dimes had it at -30.5 briefly. Even with a 4th quarter rally, no way Minnesota comes out of this looking anything but horrible. Good for South Dakota, but... wow.

Well, don't look now, but Jason G.'s Akron boys are now tied with Gardner-Webb. I know it's Akron, but...

I'm not sure he wants to coach again. The only job he really wants he isn't getting.

James Madison is also down 13-7 at the half against Virginia Tech

Adam Weber just fumbled the ball away with 6 minutes down by 10. Game over
Tell you what, Minnesota has no business winning a Big 10 game this season.

If that even stays close, it won't be good for Boise. They need VT to have a good season. On the other hand, this just could be a Monday game hangover for the Hokies...still a half to go...we'll see.
