7 Days ...

Postby Cane from the Bend » Sat Aug 16, 2025 5:16 pm

------------------------------------------------------------

And we are there ...

Now I'm really starting to get the itch.

We are now inside a week to kickoff. Actually, by this time next Saturday, we'll already have had our first win/loss.

I have to admit, I'm kinda excited for the opening slate. Even though they might not be the most marquee of matchups by common standards, each of the games should be fairly competitive.

Except probably Idaho State @ UNLV; which is why it didn't make the Picks.

Still, I'll be interested to see if the Rebels are able to match their level of intensity and success from last year.

I am excited about the season. Notre Dame is traveling to Fayetteville to play Arkansas. Crazy this will be the first time the 2 teams have ever played one another. Arkansas travels to Notre Dame next season. As usual, Arkansas has a top 3 toughest schedule in the country. Been that way for over a decade now. But I will still root for them every single game.

I will try and spend time in the forum during the season and contribute. I hope everyone is well.

Hey, Doss ...

Nice to see your name pop up on the board.

Doing well, and ready for this season.

You said it, excitement abound. Though, we get them Leprechauns game 1. Hopefully we can soften up the shamrocks for you, before they travel to hog valley on the 27th. However, the Domers practically have a bye week just prior to their journey into Fayetteville. They have a home stand vs Purdue.

Game Time…….. hope everyone enjoys the season. :D

Rebuilding time in Morgantown, lots of new faces, 70+, and 4 that are suing the NCAA over eligibility rulings about them playing at a non NCAA member JUCO.

Don’t know what to expect, but the schedule has been dialed back with some lightweights so they’ll win a few and lose a few.

I am not ready yet. I have been mostly too busy to pay much attention. I did hear today that Ohio State settled on a qb1 today. Progress, I guess.

It was question marks such as these, that tilted my lean towards Texas in the picks.

Texas already knew who QB 1 was coming into spring practice. In fact, most of the roster was set, taking first string snaps.

OSU looked to be evaluating their 1rst and 2 deep at multiple positions, save the WR's who seem locked in.

Still, game 1 in the shoe is no gimme. Should be fun to watch.

I frankly would be surprised to see Ohio State win the game.
