OK... Now I am worried

Postby Spence » Mon Jan 20, 2025 2:14 pm

I wasn't worried about this game. Ohio State has better overall players. But everyone....I mean everyone is picking them to win this game. Marcus Freeman is sure to let his team know this every second leading into the game. Every single time he is with them. No one is giving you a chance. Everyone thinks you don't belong. They are so much better than you. Does that piss you off? It should.

I can hear him saying it. I can see them seething about it. It worries me. When teams play with their ears pinned back they play better. I hope Ohio State has the same attitude. It is hard when everyone is telling you are great. No one can beat you.

Notre Dame is a good football team or they wouldn't have beat Georgia and Penn State. They play ugly. If they weren't Notre Dame I would like that about them. I hate to be on the other side of a Tressel ball game.

Depends on the tempo. 2,4,6….

Not at the game, though, so I can have as many as I want, but I am going to try to be good.

Here we go…….. who’s going to execute, who’s going to make mistakes, who’s going to turn the ball over, who’s going to make big plays??????

We’ll see…….. 8) 8) 8)

Spence wrote:Marcus Freeman is a Tressel disciple through and through only he will go for a forth down from time to time instead of punting. This Notre Dame team and this Ohio State team draw lots of similarities to that game.

If Notre Dame can run the ball then they have a path to win. Love is very good. He seems healthy. Leonard can move. They are just as hungry, if not more hungry. That is the key to the game for them. Ohio State has to keep Howard's jersey clean and use their advantage. We will see which team gets their game.

It wasn't Love, but Leonard did get them down field ...

And as you stated, Freeman isn't shy about going for it on 4th down.

They did it twice on this opening drive, and it got them 7.

Bad second series for the Irish……. but got extra yards on the punt on a holding call, maybe there is such a thing as ‘The luck of the Irish’.

Ohio State needs to score on every possession. Notre Dame has the ability to make the seconds disappear.

Notre Dame is struggling against the Buckeye defense……. something has to change for the Irish, a kick return or defensive TD. If the Buckeyes score in the second half before the Irish do I don’t believe the Irish can overcome that lead.

Here we go……

Well…….. with that Buckeye TD, I’m going to pull a cork, sip my bourbon and enjoy the rest of the game.

Buckeyes can still beat themselves. They gave Notre Dame that last TD with stupid penalties.

That roughing penalty may have just sealed the game ...

If OSU scores now, any chance for ND to make it back in, is thrown out.

We'll see if they can capitalize off this.
