I didn't watch it; I don't buy the theory. I think it's a hoax.

pretty much in a nutshell, the ice caps are melting and will be gone by 2050 and we are all gonna look like a microwaved piece of bacon.
alot of scientists that thought it was a hoax are convinced otherwise now because of the evidence they have collected from the icebergs and such themselves over the last ten years.
the main culprit of course is oil and gas. we are taking CO2 out of the ground that has been there for millions of years and putting it back into the atmosphere adn it's causing the planet to heat up.
what keeps the planet cool are tres and they are disappearing too.
it could have been a big load of crap, but the report was pretty convincing, i'd like to see somebody do one to dispell the arguements..........cause i don't wanna be a piece of bacon :?
an alternate fuel, it seems, would save us alotta trouble. not to mention, it would be nice to see what it's like not to be dependent on the mood of the middle east.

I think there is merit to the global warming argument. I don't think they are right about the 2050 argument. If they are, we can't stop it by then. You can't reverse a global trend in less then 50 years. I would have a little faith in good ole mother nature. She tends to fix most things people and asteroids mess up. The hole in the Ozone layer is more closed then it was 5 years ago. We can't control little nature things like hurricanes, so I think this is probably to big for us also. Mother nature will fix it or fix us, I don't believe there is a lot we can do about it. They are working on ways to put the CO2 back in the ground. That would seem like a good idea to me.

It's just a natural cycle; we might be contributing, but it's a minor part of the process.

i believe that too. I think it probably is a minor part of the process, but just a little can change things. I believe it isn't bad to do what we can do to help, but I don't believe in scrapping our way of life over it. Having a different energy source, other then fossel fuels, is a good idea. We need to have an independent source of energy so we don't have to rely on crazy people who want to kill us for it.

Right, of course. I don't want to be one that funds the zealots either.
