Big win at Columbus!

Postby GoBoilers » Wed Feb 17, 2010 10:42 pm

Win out the regular season and the Boilers will have a #1 seed regardless of the conference tourney! That is a big IF! 60-57 was enough for me!

It was a good game. Lots like the first game. Congrats.

I thought Lewis Jackson was going to be out for the year, but he played against Ohio State. How long has he been back? He should make an impact by the time the NCAA Tournament comes around.

LJ has been back about 6 games (3 weeks). One big reason for our turnaround a month ago.

With Robbie Hummel out for the rest of the year, the dreams of being a No. 1 seed and going to the Final Four are all but over now. Now it looks more likely that three teams will tie for the lead in the Big 10.

It is a shame Hummel went down. Purdue was/ maybe still is the best team in the B-10.

Doesn't look good. I belive we still have a chance to go unbeaten the last 3 regular season games. Had we done that with Hummel we'd be a lock for a 1 seed. Have seen MANY teams be a lock EVEN losing in their conference tourney. Losing Hummel means we have to make the final or win the conference tourney or the selection committee may not put us there. Then again, it will be moot IF we lose to Mich St. Sunday.
