Thanks Cain……. Good to have the Pick-Em back and give us something to look forward to and think about, we need some fun after we’ve been consumed by the Transfer Portal, NIL, Conference Hijacking’s, Court Cases, State Laws being passed and Federal Legislative actions on the move. I really have no clue about who’s good, who’s not so good and who’s just bad.

For the first time in years and years, I did not get Season Tickets for West Virginia’s season. I have little confidence in the program under Neil Brown’s leadership….. we’ll see how it works out. Although I did get the three Home Game Package , you know what they say, “Once a Mountaineer always a Mountaineer!!!!”

Uh, maybe what Ron White said would be more accurate…… “You can’t fix stupid”.

Had my annual physical, and of course they did lab work.

Our physician had retired to be more of a family wife. Understandable, since just about every time I went in, she was pregnant again.

So this was my first visit with the new Doc. ----- Her name is Dr. Morningstar [no, seriously]

Good news on my front. This was the first time since 2015 my Blood Work came back without elevated liver enzyme levels. And everything else was in normal range, too.

Their system is going through a reboot; so we had to go over the whole family history of medical conditions [yay].

When she asked about siblings, and if my brother had any medical issues there, I couldn't help but smirk and said; "I don't know. Does stupid count?"

You're certainly right about ready for some fun, to just sit back and watch.

Hard to get a real handle on things; though, I'm starting to feel as though I'm getting a sense of what they mean, what they say what they don't.

Actually, I had thought, I wonder if it's too soon to post up the Picks. And looked in the corner of my laptop screen, realizing :!:

Oh shoot! We're under 20 days to kickoff. Yikes, better get on that, now!

I'm glad I waited though. I started looking the games over about a month ago. And I was struggling to find even 20 for the two week span. They've went and added games in that time. I suspect they were scheduled for later weeks, and just bumped them forward.

Either way, we got 30 ... even if there are a few gimme's.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Saturday, August 26th

(1.) Notre Dame --- [new coach for the midshipmen, though]
(2.) UMass --- [honestly, I have no clue; I just know these guys improved last year]
(3.) San Diego State --- [at least its at 7 ... which for the Bobcats is 10 pm]
(4.) Vanderbilt --- [really the only caveat for the winner will be; "we didn't lose to them"]

Thursday, August 31rst

(5.) Minnesota --- [are scandals a distraction, or motivator?? just keep rowing]
(6.) Utah --- [the lizards are leaving the swamp??? SLC is gonna be ruckus]

Friday, September 1rst

(7.) Michigan State --- [I came real close to choosing the other guys, tho]
(8.) Miami --- [at least I know the name of the school that will win]
(9.) Louisville --- [I dunno ... awful playing awful is a coin toss]
(10.) Hawai'i --- [the Cardinal has a coach, don't they? Who's on the team?]

Saturday, September 2cnd

(11.) Liberty --- [new coach, but they're at home]
(12.) Fresno State --- [if they aren't jet-lagged they could depressurize the Boiler]
(13.) SMU --- [whatever happened with these guy going to the Pac-O' never mind]
(14.) Tennessee --- [as much as I'd like for this to be a contest, I have no faith in the 'Hoos!]
(15.) TCU --- [1 team is coming off a NC trouncing, the other has 80% new players]
(16.) Boston College [will the Eagles really show up ..?] '
(17.) Western Kentucky [the Hilltoppers have been surprisingly good, the Bulls not so much]
(18.) Washington [ah yes, the Petersen retiree bowl]
(19.) North Texas [not sure I believe this ... but I'm sure I don't believe in the other guys]
(20.) Army [probably gonna leave some cleat marks on some chests]
(21.) Washington State [I hesitated ... so much to distract them with]
(22.) UTSA [this game went into overtime last year; hoping for another great one]
(23.) Toledo [an outlier of sorts ... but the Rockets have been pretty decent lately]
(24.) South Carolina [I struggled here; the winner is the team that developed the players]
(25.) Penn State [the mach up of names is intriguing ... however]
(26.) Old Dominion [meh, why not ..? they got `em before]
(27.) Tulane [the Wave made a splash a season ago; let's see if the can keep the momentum]
(28.) UCLA [CC is a feisty team, tho ... I wouldn't be surprised by an upset] UCLA

Sunday, September 3rd

(29.) Rutgers --- [to be this disenfranchised, and not playing at home; Poor Wildcats]
(30.) LSU --- [this may very well be the best game of the round]

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
