Oregon - Cal

The Cal offensive line is manhandling the Duck defense. You could drive a truck through some of those holes.

Cal's defense seems to be playing pretty well to start the second have also. This game is going to be interesting.

Nice touchdown pass for Oregon. It you can't get more wide open than that.

Like Oregon pulled a fresh team for the second half. Almost done.

They were saying before the game started that Oregon's defensive line was depleted with injuries. They had one regular starter on the field tonight. I still don't really know what to make of Oregon's defense. Even shorthanded, they handled Cal. But Cal's offense is bad anyway.

Cal's entire team is not very good. They have some players, and they have some moments, but that is about all. There is ground swell groing calling for Tedford to be replaced. There is a part of me that agree's with this, but I also know that Tedford is one of the most successful coaches Cal has ever had. This will only be his second losing season, but it's two in 3 years, and though Cal went to a bowl last year, the team was unspectacular except in some of their losses. I could give Tedford another year or maybe two, but if he doesn't turn it around, he's got to go. Hey, maybe Keith Gilbertson is available...again.

Tedford has been a weird case. I think he got a reputation for cultivating QBs after Kyle Boller and Aaron Rodgers. Then I remember Nate Longshore was supposed to be the next in line, and if I remember correctly he had one good season in his entire career. After the Longshore/Riley era, they had to rely on Maynard who wasn't very good even when he was at Buffalo. I think QB play has been a big obstacle over the last 5 or 6 years for Cal.

Longshore got hurt his senior year, which is when Riley took over, and you are right it has been down hill from there in regards to QB play.
