2002 against Utah was pretty bad. Michigan won it 10-7. There were 2 games I remember in 1998 where the offense was a clunker. They played Iowa and Northwestern and had back-to-back 12 point preformances.

Probably was last years destruction by USC Trojans. The Razorbacks absolutely quit, which I have never seen before. Losing to The Citadel was also a downer.

For Iowa, not sure I can think of one.

From an Iowa fans perspective I would think the loss in Columbus to Ohio State in '85 would be one. Iowa came to Columbus undefeated and #1 in the country. Chuck Long, I believe was the quarterback.

I have only been embarrased one time in my life to be a Razorback fan and that was last year in the Colesium. The Trojans destroyed us....made the Hogs look like a bunch of high school cheerleaders trying to play against men. They scored at will and I think if they wanted too they could have easily passed the 100 point mark. Most of the Razorback fans had left but I stayed to the bitter end. I cheered them on until the end but Razorfan in right....they had quit. Never seen that before either. I hope this year will be different.

I just want him coaching anywhere so I don't have to listen to him. I think he's going to be on ABC now. I still rank him #2 worst color guy in college football now that Paul McGuire has moved to college football! :? :x

Irish88 wrote:bob davie does suck as an announcer. however, his football 101 articles that he writes for espn are very good. great insight in to the game. there was an assistant coach i worked with last year who used to print them off for the rest of the staff. quite informative. too bad he didn't put that info to use when he coached the irish.

College football is 75% recruiting. That is what he wasn't good at, the game was changing at the time and Holtz hadn't recruited for the changes. Florida State and Miami changed the complexion of the game. Davie was in a really bad position at a really bad time.

I miss the old board too, but I've grown quite accustomed to the phpBB format.

Nice to see you around.

A 22-13 loss on the road does not even come close to qualifing for the worst defeat that I can remember. Probably a bigger disapointment was the Rose Bowl game that Iowa lost with Ronnie Harmon fumbling about 4 times after not fumbling all year.

I probably am a bigger Hog fan and therefore will be changing my avatar. I have an animated gif of a tiger hawk and razorback but have not been able to get it to work on this site.

I know the game was close, but to lose when you are #1 is heartbreaking. Especially since everybody in Iowa, and even around the B-10, were rooting for Haden Fry to get that title as a Hawkeye.

PM openSkies with your avatar problem and he may be able to help.
