New Rules……
”We’re already in a time where the on-field aspect of College Football is almost a distraction. It’s an era filled with handwringing about player empowerment, NCAA deregulation, the transfer portal and realignment all while the sport generally moves toward a professional model.” ~ Dennis Dodd

Maybe Saban speaking out will get someone’s attention……. doubtful, at least with this bunch currently steering the boat.

He isn't wrong, but as long as someone else is will to pony up it will hurt his ability to keep players.

I would think that the amount of players left in the portal would eventually curb it's usage.

One would think so, someone said there are over 2000 players in the portal. I also saw where there are some rules and restrictions recently added to to the Transfers.
Hopefully the NCAA or some governing body will get their arms around this.

But open to discrimination by the best rumor ...
With regards to the new NIL regulations, and I kid you not; The NCAA is now allowing for "Hearsay and Conjecture" to be admitted as evidence levied against a Program, where the accused Program in question must then prove the speculation to be false.
Honestly. I'm starting to believe the NCAA is attempting to eradicate itself.
There is no way the FBS schools are going to accept having insinuation, without verification, be the deciding factor in being subjected to violation enforcement.

The NCAA eradicaated itself a few years ago. They are basically just the seeding body for the Basketball tourney.
