Johnny Football

Postby Eric » Mon Jul 15, 2013 11:37 pm

Anybody think his situation is troubling at all? He hasn't had a major issue pop up, but it's been death by a thousand paper cuts. His tweet about College Station, being guilty of a misdemeanor, almost being suspended the year before, and now this Peyton Manning camp issue (supposedly he left early because he was out partying and had a massive hangover).

I've been wondering where his focus has been. Seeing as how the season is a month and a half away, how do you think Manziel will do?

He doesn't seem to be handling having the media constantly crawling up his butt. In his defense, though, I wouldn't handle it that well either.

He's still just a 20 year old kid. And the world has a spotlight on him and expectations. I certainly had my share of hangovers when I was 20.

I imagine that he'll come around as he matures. Some kids mature early, others are on a different curve.

Yeah, then Mrs. Spence would have video footage to defer to when she needs a little extra sway in her argument.

And...they can instantly index all footage and roll back to a specific frame. A biological gift, I reckon.

She does, but we didn't get together until I was 36. My 20's we not a sight to behold......I guess maybe I could have had a show on MTV back then. People do like to watch train wrecks.

Looks like he could be in major trouble now: http://m.espn.go.com/general/story?stor ... rc=desktop

Oh my . . . this would change things drastically.

If he becomes ineligible, we'll get to see just how good the A&M team is.

If he did take money for signing he is done. That is a major violation.

At a 5 figure sum, yes, he'd be done.
