Lee Corso Recovering from Stroke

The stroke itself occurred a few months ago, but I thought I'd pass the reports of his recovery along. Hopefully he'll be in full force by College Gameday kickoff.

I sure hope he recovers, someone has to put the stupid mascot hats on! Seriously it is a tradition now!

Always been one of my favorites even when he was coaching the Hoosiers. He was VERY classy handling the PU/IU rivalry besides being a fairly good coach in the graveyard called Indiana football.
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

He was a lot better coach then he is given credit for being.

IMO, it gets no better than Corso and Herbstreit.

I hope he can get through the therapy and be his old self again...The article says he plans to be back on TV.....I sure hope so.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

The same thing happened to me in April on the 1st.
It was like someone was playing a April fools joke on me.
I had what the call a silent stroke.
Had trouble trying to talk with people about what was going on.
But I am doing better now.
I was able to get my Am.Legion games in as I have for the past 19 years
But I still have trouble trying to speak when I have a new topic.

I still manage to get my rehab in 3 times a week plus I work out on my own treadmill the other 3 days.

Hope I will be able to do the picks this year.

Hoping for the best for Lee Corso.

Spence, I agree. Some of the BEST coaching jobs are guys going 50/50 because of circumstances. They just will never get recognition.

My mom had the same thing a couple years ago. She had a really bad stroke followed by a really, really bad heart attack. It has taken her two and a half years and lots of work, and a pacemaker, but she is almost back to normal. Her speech is a little slowed because the words don't travel down the path as fast as they once did, but if you didn't know her before you wouldn't notice it. I hope you recover as fully as she did. Good luck with the rehab and know that you always have a spot here, no matter how fast or slow you type.

Patience and determination Howdy! The same thing that gets you through marriage...and a bad football season! Best Wishes.

I especially liked how Corso handled the ones Indiana lost. I'm glad he never threw up in the old oaken bucket.

Spence
Knowing the result of your mothers bad luck I find myself lucky.
I did not have a heart attack cause I found out about my heart and had the bypass before it happened.
The stroke was different.
I did not know what was going on and did not see the doctor for 4 days
Lucky for me it was a mild one.
Guess it was for healthy living.
I hope the best for your mother and she keep having good results.
