What do you do in legion ball, Howdy. I used to play and later umpired. I was involved one way or the other for about 15 years. Then I started working with the little kids. Now, mostly, I just work with mine. My oldest little girl has some ability, but I am trying to steer her to golf. The only real future I see in women's athletics is golf.

I get to run the scoreboard.

Been doing this for 17 years now.

Up in the press box that has AC.

See a lot of good baseball played for the love of the game and not the almighty $$$. :D :D

Legion ball is good quality baseball. A lot of guys who get played to play have legion ball on their resumes.

Hey Spence,

You could always put your little girl in a race car.

Not many women competing those circuits.

But, the ones who do, get a lot of press.

They are paid relatively well, too.

.

Howdy,

Nice to see you back.

How do your Huskers look this season?

Danica Patrick is the most overrated driver in recent memory. I've never seen anyone getting so much publicity for doing next to nothing. I found her temper tantrum quite humorous!

She's a pretty good driver, but there are better Indy car racers out there. The LPGA is seeing a pretty big youth movement. Michelle Wie, Morgan Pressell, Paula Creamer, and Natalie Gulbis are all near the top in that sport.

I'm hoping Michelle Wie doesn't let the stardom get to her head. She's actually a pretty good golfer on the ladies tour, but compared to the guys, right now, she's pretty bad.

Danica is just another driver. Dan Wheldon, Helio Castronevas, and a lot more that I can't name because I don't watch Indy Car Racing are better drivers.

To me anyway, this make a good statement about both programs ..... Marshall's willingness to play top level programs in order to better themselves and Ohio State's willingness to share the wealth. 8)

Until she wins with the women, shes just another golfer. She hasn't even won on her own circuit and she wants to beat the men???

Exactly right. She can't even make the cut at the John Deere Classic, one of the most low PGA events I can think of. She should hone her skills and win in the LPGA and then, in a couple years, make the leap to the PGA.

She will never make the leap to the tour. She may get to the point where she can make the cut, but that is about it. The men's game and the women's game are completely different.

You don't think so, huh? She's only 16 years old :!:

I think she can do it.

The Herd came very, very close to upsetting the Buckeye's the last time they paid a visit to the Shoe. Stopped themselves in the red zone and then that dag-gum all world kicker the Buckeye's had kicked the game winner. :P

I wasn't talking about Marshall-Ohio State, I was talking about Michele Wie winning on the mens tour.

Yes, Marshall nearly beat Ohio State last time out. Mike Nugents kick iced the game.

Sorry about that. I big blocked a post earlier and thought you were responding.

Did you see the announcement about the Buckeyes and The Herd signing up to play a football game in 2010?

Sorry about that.
