NCAA Tournament

Postby Eric » Sat Mar 23, 2013 4:43 am

Big game for my Wolverines and for Spence's Buckeyes coming up. Swamp Daddy's guys are in a good position to win it all again. And I wonder if Grayghost and Brian Roastbeef have spoken to each other after Saturday setting up a Cal/Syracuse game for a trip to the Sweet 16?

I think we're in for some more mayhem this weekend. I think Colorado State will push Louisville to the brink and I believe Wichita State will beat Gonzaga. Spence, I hate to say it, but I've had Iowa State advancing past Ohio State since last week in my bracket. ISU's offense is on fire right now and while Ohio State can be smothering offensively, I think if they go cold offensively, it's advantage Iowa State. I'm taking Virginia Commonwealth over Michigan, even though Hardaway Jr looked absolutely legit in Round 1. I think VCU/Michigan is going to be the best game of the second round this weekend, but in reality, all of these games are intriguing. LaSalle/Ole Miss for a trip to the Sweet 16? Can Florida Gulf Coast advance? Can Harvard advance? How about a North Carolina upset of Kansas in the second round?

I'm afraid I agree with you on Ohio State. They have bouts that they can beat anyone and then they look like they can't beat a good high school team. They seem to be playing well though. Keep an eye on Craft. When he can play under control Ohio State gels. If he steps out of control, it can get ugly.

I guess I meant to say, "smothering defensively." I think if Ohio State hits shots, then it's game over. If they struggle, Iowa State can keep up with them.

I'm glad I was wrong about VCU :D . Michigan is playing some great basketball right now. But their road to the Final Four is still pretty hard assuming they get Kansas and then (possibly) Florida.

Seeding in the BB brackets this year, where they have years of experience is like ranking in football, man' believes the admiration that his dog shows him is conclusive proof he can do not wrong. (Ann Landers, the great philosopherette)

This western division was decided by Jack Daniels and his Old Grand Dad.

My hopes for Duke making an early exit were dashed tonight. Darn

But, I'm thinking we can do the final 4 at least if the team stays as focused as the first two games.

You have to like Louisville's chances to make the championship game.

Well, the madness of march starts up again tomorrow; and, I am looking forward to watching some games. Some interesting (to stave off boredom I guess) articles on "re-seeding" the current Sweet 16. Perhaps the only real Cinderella left if Florida Gulf Coast, and maybe LaSalle, and the rest have visited before.

Should be a frantic weekend down to the Final Four.

have fun, Swamp Daddy :D

My bracket is tanked. The MW has been a disappointment.

Lasalle vs Wichita State is a game I'm looking forward to. It's good when one team of that "mid-major" ilk goes far.

The heavyweight bout of the Sweet 16 has to be Indiana vs Syracuse, I'm wishing for a classic.

Well, Syracuse is one team I think capable of doing Indiana in.
