Happy 4th of July

Postby billybud » Thu Jul 04, 2019 6:51 am

Another 4th....everyone have a great family time today.

We are getting together with our neighborhood family (while son is lollygagging south of the border)...usual neighborhood party, friends, food, grills, etc.

We have had a swell day. Went to a small community parade that oozed with patriotism. And such a range of causes, Republicans, Democrats, Gun Control, No Gun Control, Come to Jesus and Bikini Barista. Even had Oregon State Fans and Oregon fans, (properly place at opposite ends of the 40 minute parade.

Going in a few minutes to have traditional grilled burgers and dogs. The best burgers are the ones that get dropped into the ashes, brushed off and they put on the bun....hard to duplicate.

...

Hello to my College Football Message Board family.

I hadn't been online much this past week, as I've been nursing one of my dogs who had surgery on his back right knee [torn ACL] July 1rst.

He's doing well, but I have to keep a constant eye on him, because he's a runner & a jumper, which would only tear the repair done. Luckily the Vet said their was no Meniscus damage, and the Arthritis build up was very minor, so no long term problems are expected. However, the recovery time will be a 6 month process.

I hope all had a great 4th.

Independence Day is the last Holiday before Labor Day ... which means we're a month & a half away from kickoff.

We spent the fourth traveling to Orange Beach Alabama for vacation. Sadly tomorrow morning we head home. Happy Independence Day to all of you.
