Postby Mountainman » Sun Oct 07, 2018 11:55 pm

....... the Sooners’ Defensive Coordinator Sunday night after recent ‘lackluster’ performances on defense.

I think this has been coming for a while. Mark was the talented Stoops not named Bob.

The term “fired” may not be the case as I am reading this morning that Stoops may have been asked to step aside...... that term came from a Dennis Dodd article I read last night after I received the news from another source. We all know Dodd is a bit of a ‘BREAKING NEWS & BOMBSHELL’ type when it coming to his reporting.

It's also being reported that Ruffin McNeill with fill the defensive coordinator spot on the Sooners staff..... an old adversary of the Mountaineers during his days as Head Coach at East Carolina, who is currently the defensive line coach for the Sooners, so the Mountaineers have a pretty good idea how he goes about coaching and playing defense.

.......and you’re right on about Mark Stoops, Spence. The job he’s done at Kentucky, where the only ball they recognize is round, is phenomenal.
