Anti climatic for Buckeyes. Ohio State isn’t going to make it to the playoff, but has a chance to win the B1G whether they beat the blue weasels or not. Really, the only thing the skunk bears can ruin for the buckeyes is the streak since they beat Ohio State. It will be 2191 days come game time. Over 5000 days since they have beat an Ohio State team without an interim coach.
I guess that is a good a reason as ever to just beat them again.

This week is a little odd for me ...

We Hurricanes fans do not have a natural rival to play in the week of Thanksgiving --- It almost feels as though we got matched up [wanted to say pitted] against Pitt, simply as a recommencement of the old Big East pairings. Only, with the Big East, we had a Round Robin schedule, so this was never considered a rivalry; just another conference game --- Pitt is merely replacing this game with whomever looks like a god opponent nearing the end of the year; since the Panthers' traditional Thanksgiving Week rivalry, was the "Backyard Brawl" vs West Virginia.

Miami & Pitt look as though they will be rotating, likely, other conference opponents over the next few years; at least for Pitt, until 2022 when they are scheduled to resume the West Virginia game.

In some respects, there is that danger of playing a very competitive rival, who may have nothing to play for, except taking you out of the national conversation.

Then again ... it would be fun to have a TTUN to beat up on annually ... however, the only team I feel as if I may have "that much" animosity for, already has a rival during this week. And I do not see the swamp rats breaking off their yearly thrashing by the `noles anytime in my life span.

I will say this. There is talk about getting them schedule for a neutral site game in Orlando for the 2019 season. Whereas this is a real possibility, there are some unrealistic hopes attributed with regards to future meetings. Mark Richt is quoted as saying he be, "All for it", being in favor of Miami playing a yearly series vs the gators. UM Athletics Director Blake James had attempted to pursue the annual game with the previous florida AD, Jeremy Foley, who said “It wasn’t of interest” --- when asked about potentially seeing the renewal of the rivalry game, James said he hadn't talked with second year AD of UF Scott Stricklin on the matter.

I would say to those who wish to see this thing come to fruition; forget it.

When florida broke the yearly series, it was when they joined the SEC. The reason for the cancellation given, was due to there not being enough room on the schedule.

Now, with both teams having 8 in conference games, and with florida's annual game vs fsu; it would mean the gators would have to dedicate 2 out of conference games against instate opponents every year --- I don't see that happening.

I think TTUN would have a shot at the Buckeye's this week with Peters. Not sure if O'Korn can get the job done. They have a defense, though, and a good defense can win a game.

I believe this game is now, because their rivalry games with USC & Stanford used to be the last game of the year during the pre-Pac 12 title game era. It previously was the Pac's answer for not having a championship game, and on some odd years, USC would play as many as 13 regular season games for the extra data point.

This is the hardest week to pick. You never know what's going to happen in a rivalry game. I have confidence in about 5 out of my 20 picks...

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
