Looks better. I would not include Boise State in top 25, they fold like a tinhorn in a high-stakes poker game.

I didn't think they looked bad in any game I saw all year. Maybe not as dominant as we have seen in the past, but they were in every game.

Yeah the two teams they lost to are a combined 17-7. But the Broncos did beat Washington State and Wyoming. This isn't a head to head comparison poll or a "so and so should be ahead of so and so because they beat them" poll. For all teams, I threw the winning percentages, opponents' win percentage in there, opponents' opponents' win percentage in there, and a penalty for playing a weak schedule, etc. This is what the spreadsheet threw at me.

As I look at it, I wonder about Western Michigan. They are playing good and the media throws out the great numbers. But they have beaten a 9-3 Toledo team and who else? Boise State didn't play a team like NC Central like Western Michigan did. How bad is NC Central?

Western Michigan getting too much love?

Penalty for "weak schedule"...using whose methodology? And what teams were penalized.

Using Sagarin..if you penalized those who's SOS is not in Top 50...you'd penalize Washington, Louisville, Western Michigan (double), Ok State, VT...

If you offer a penalty to those who's SOS is not in the top 25....add Michigan, Clemson, Penn State to the contenders taking a penalty

I know where you coming from about the penalty. It is just for fun though. I average each team's opponents' win percentage and opponents' opponents' win percentage from various sources. I take the average just for that reason. From various sources. I just did it to see how close it would come to other opinion polls.

So...Western Michigan as an opponent's opponent (this helps the Big Ten who play MAC) counts a more as an opponent's opponent than an LSU, Auburn, Washington, etc....

OK....kind of meaningless. Like Pitt being better than Ohio State because they beat the team that beat Ohio State.

Just figured it all would come out in the wash near or at the end anyway. Just figured the OW percentage and OOW percentage is better than what I could come up with. Not meaning to offend.
