Mine would be all country music  Not sure if the CDs ring a bell to others but I'd have greatest hits albums from George Jones and George Strait along with Joe Nichols' latest one.

Since it's for driving, I'd have to have something that I could... well, drive to. Driving music for me is a lot different than at-the-computer or play-along-with-on-guitar music. So here's my list:

1. The Juliana Theory - "Love"
2. Better Than Ezra - "Closer"
3. The Format - "Interventions and Lullabies"
4. Acceptance - "Phantoms"
5. (tie) Tristan Prettyman - "Twenty Three", Deathcab for Cutie - "Transatlanticism"

By "tie" I mean I can't choose just 5, so I had to squeeze in a sixth. I guess I could make a mix-tape (mix-cd*) and call it one, haha.

$5 for anyone who has one of the listed CDs... $1 for anyone who has just knows one of the bands listed above. (First come first serve)

I'll send you the $5 tomorrow.

Haha.

I hate the new DC cd. Well, not hate... but it's not nearly as amazing as Transatlanticism. I think his lyrics are lacking this time around. Oh well.

Better Than Ezra has a new cd out too. Again, not as well-done as the last.

Both Transalanticism and Closer were such unbelievable CDs, I guess they'd be hard to out-do though. I'm used to let downs from sophomore releases anyways.

i'd have to take my own mixes, there are only a few albums in the world that i can tolerate listening to the whole thing.

Yeah, I meant Plans. It has a few good songs, but nothing like Trans. Every song on that CD could be a great single.

LubbockHasNoTrees wrote:BTE has at least 5 albums I can count, this is hardly a sophomore release for them...

I meant something more along the lines of their mainstream releases. Closer was their first big hit CD, and then the new one.

'Juicy' just destroys the new album. Creative exploration is cool but... it was taken a bit too far, I think. Very catchy, but very out-there as well.

And as with DC, every song on Closer could've been a great single.

I like Boston alright, but in small doses. I don't know if I could take listening to a whole cd.

I listen to a lot of stuff. I like George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Alan Jackson, Hank Jr., and Marshall Tucker and I like Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Nazareth, Rush. STYX, Jethro Tull, Steve Miller, and Tom Petty.

I like 60's blues stuff as well.
