In 1923. Who was the….
1. President of the largest steel company?
2. President of the largest gas company?
3. President of the New York Stock Exchange?
4. Greatest wheat speculator?
5. President of the Bank of International Settlement?
6. Great Bear of Wall Street?
These men were considered some of the world’s most successful of the day. Now, 80 years later do you know what ultimately became of them?
The Answers:
1. The president of the largest steel company, Charles Schwab, died a pauper.
2. The president of the largest gas company, Edward Hopson, went insane.
3. The president of the NYSE, Richard Whitney, was released from prison to die at home.
4. The greatest wheat speculator, Arthur Cooger, died abroad, penniless.
5. The president of the Bank of International Settlement shot himself.
6. Great Bear of Wall Street, Cosabee Livermore, committed suicide.
However, in that same year, 1923, the PGA champion and winner of the most important golf tournament, the US Open, was Gene Sarazen. What became of him?
He played golf until he was 92, died in 1999 at the age of 95, and he was financially secure at the time of his death.
The moral: Screw work. Play golf.

I dislike golf. I guess that means I'll die young
Watching it is okay. Part of the problem is that I'm not a morning person (the time a lot of people would start a round of golf), especially in the summer when you get dehydrated at 10 AM when the sun is beating down on you. Really hate summer mornings

Those are the times that you REALLY want the beer lady to come around....even a Bud light tastes incredible by about the 8th-9th hole, and by 18th, you are smashed, and wreck your game in the last 3 holes.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I don't always play in the morning. During the season in Ohio I usually play on Sundays around 1:00PM. During the week between 3 -6 and in late morning hours on Saturday except for football season, then I play in the morning if I play that day at all.

Ditto! A Bud Light or Coors Light or any light tastes good when you are sweating to the oldies. After that....no thank you!
