has anyone else been getting emails saying that may 19th is going to
be 'don't buy any gasoline' day?
or do i just have wierd email friends? :lol:
i haven't heard anything about this anywhere else so i was just wondering

Now, if I recall, on the old "Best Conference Board" that CVilleSooner mentioned something about this.

I don't get too much spam. AOL has pretty good spam filters.

People foward that stuff for me all the time. Even if everyone did it, it wouldn't work. They would just do double the business the day before or the day after. The only way to effect the market would be for most people to not buy gas for a couple of weeks, which could never happen because we have lives. :wink:

that's what i was thinking. i mean the stations already bought the gas from the gas companies so they would be the ones missing out and then there would be huge lines the next day, right? :?

It would only work if you didn't drive your car, though. Anybody needing gas on that day would show up and the people needing gas the current day would show up and it would throw everything off track.
