LeBron James

Is anyone other than me annoyed at all of the coverage and love that he is receiving from ESPN? It is glaringly obvious that they are marketing him so much. And now there is false hope that this might even be a series between the 2 squads! I've had the Pistons in 5 games from the start, and that's the way it'll end up. Mitch Albom said it on the Sports Reporters the best when he said that the Pistons don't keep their foot on the gas pedal and that they don't stay focused.

I expect LeBron to be an all-time great, but ESPN needs to slow down a little.

The media is looking for the next Michael Jordan ......

I haven't seen him yet. 8)

Exactly.

Let's just see if he turns into Michael Jordan. I'm aware he's, what, 22? But there are other players on Cleveland doing a solid job over the course of the season. It isn't a one-man-show.

MJ didn't win in Chicago by himself either. James isn't Michael Jorda
n yet, but he has as much upside as anyone I have seen.

I'd agree with that ... with some help he'll only be better.

I know MJ didn't win it by himself. I should've specified that.

What I meant was that ESPN makes him look like he's the only one on the team doing remotely close to anything.

they will hype him and hype him until he becomes convinced that he is a god and then will end up arrested for some attrocious crime and then the espn machine will gaga over what a waste of talent he is and be on to the next victim......same old same old

Speaking of Jordan...Has anyone heard the "urban legend" or story that Jordan did not "retire" for a year. He was forced to retire, because he was being punished for gambling.

???

Jordan is a huge gambler. I had heard that, but I don't buy it. Jordan would have had to fix games to get kicked out. KM Landis kicked a bunch of guys out in baseball, but he never touched Babe Ruth. He knew if he had it would have destroyed the game. Jordan was basketball's Babe Ruth.
