it always pains me to watch the segment jay leno does when he goes out on the streets and askes people simple questions... one time he went around asking people what state chicago and boston were located in and i swear at least 20 people didn't know......so sad

Geography was always easy for me. I never looked at it as a chore; the whole social studies/geography/history was my favorite class.

Most kids today, should you ask them to find Tennessee, end up pointing to Botswana

Boston............hum.........New Jersey, right?

I could understand someone not knowing where Toledo was, but how do you live your whole life not knowing Boston, Mass or Chicago, Illinois.

If they don't know that ask them what state New York is in, that one should really throw them for a loop.

I really kinda glad to hear that. :? I thought for a long time it was just that maybe we were not a state anymore and someone forgot to tells us.

When I'm traveling and someone asks me, "Where you from?" and I say "West Virginia" they say, "Oh, I've been to Richmond before."

I mean what are you supposed to say?
