visualDissonance.com

My personal site. Just re-did it.

Kind of... weird, I know. But comments would be nice =]

It is kind of "album cover" like. (album, yes I am showing my age.) It has a musical feel about it. I can't explain why, but it does or maybe a playbill.

Some '70's album covers were set up the same way. I always thought it was cool, but can't say I have ever been in the loop on that sort of thing.

Not a poet, Mountainman, just a web/graphic designer =]

Thanks Spence, and yeah, it probably is a lot like a CD cover (haha). Most of the designs I do (probably 90%) are all for bands or something else related to music, and my 3 passions are flying, design, and music. So I'm sure they all mingle in with one another.

Only once in our lives are we ever born,
and only once in time do we die.

But time after time we can express ourselves between the two bookends,
along our line of life.

Matt, if you composed and wrote this ..... it's poetry, my friend.

Poetry is something I never could do. That creative bone was omitted when I was born. My mom is an artist ( or a former artist - arthritis) and I can draw a little. My dad was an athlete and I could play a little, but I never got enough from either one to be good at any of it.

Ditto for me.

I have to leave the arts to the artists.

Glad you like the writing, MM, but I still don't consider it poetry =] I prefer to think of it as 'creative writing'. But hey, whatever works! Haha.

Thanks Lubbock, glad you like the typography. I've been reading up a bunch of typography lately, and some of it's design uses. I figured I'd give it a shot and see how good it goes. I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I never knew you could make such an interesting/appealing site with pretty much just text.

And about the lack of a 'home' button, yeah I know. I don't think I really want there to be one, though. It's just up until everyone who used to visit the old site gets accustomed to the new one. Sort of like a "We moved" page.

Just for fun, here's what the old site looked like: Click. Included over 50 photos, not much text, and the site was graphicly intense (grunge theme). I think it's a bit of a change =]

Hooray for you.

Each day from now on will get better.
Then you will find out you can not be in the same room of a smoker.
The smell is awful and you ask yourself How could I have ever had that nasty habit.
