Anyone here invest in stocks?

I have 1200 shares of Delta (DALRQ).

Ended today at $0.65, haha. I think it's going to be a "very, very, very long term investment".

I think I should buy a share of Berkshire-Hathaway.

Looks like a very good investment, but....my cash is tied up in my current business (earning about 20% per year). Like many small business owners, the only way we can "let loose" with large capital is when we sell our business. Currently, I "take home" only $320 a week, but my house and 3 other properties are "paid off". $300 a week may not seem like much, but I have few bills. I rotinely get many offers from investors, but as of now....I'll ride out my situation until I get too old to do what I do.

Thanks dude -- I'll put this info in my "favorates" so I can refer to it when I'm able to do so.

Better wait until the price of crude goes down to think about selling the Delta stock.

Berkshire-Hathaway just made a big acquisiton. Warren Buffet is a good man to follow. I dabble a little. Nothing major, as i don't know enough about what I am doing. It's kind of like picking the #5 horse in the 7th race because it is a chestnut. I have some mutuals that do OK and my gold is really good right now, as long as someone doesn't sneeze and knock the bottom out.

Yeah, the crude rise today killed the stock. Dropped 9% today, over 16% since last Friday. Gotta love it.

Who did BH buy out now? They've got everyone. GEICO, Dairy Queen, etc.

Microsoft? lol.

Bill Gates bought some more shares of BH. I think he's up to 3,000 shares now. He just does it to show off, flex his financial muscles, and get some PR.

They acquied Business Wire. They distribute corporate news and do regulatory filings.

If anyone can show off his financial muscles it is Bill Gates. I wish I could have one good idea in my life.

Why on earth would you buy airline stock? Trying to pay more for your education than necessary?

Now would be the time to buy airline stock. It can't get much cheaper. You have to figure that the government isn't going to let the "big fish" go down because it will hurt the industry. Kind of like the Chrysler situation of the 80's. Delta is a big fish and the stock is cheap so why not take a chance and buy? You have to do it with the knowledge that is it a 10 year turn around though.

Exactly, Spence =]

If the stock goes up to $10, I make $11,000.

If it goes up to $50, I make $59,000.

It will all take a long while though.

The key is to not try and see how high it will go. You pick a sell point and when it gets there you sell. Reinvest and start over. It is all about turnover when you are dealing with individual stocks.

I was just busting his chops. I think it's a great move.
