Another Job Opening for Spence

Do the Reds really think Baker was the problem. What is wrong with us all. One of the truly colorful franchises in baseball has turned dull gray.

So if Dusty Baker won one more game, he would still be managing. Got it, Cincinnati Reds....

I understand that malaise sets in sometimes when you don't have success when it counts, but the guy is a good manager who gives you a chance to win. I would not have fired him on the basis of one game.

I think Detroit is going to be in the market for a new manager this year. I think this will be Leyland's last year of managing. The way he was tearing up after they clinched suggested to me that this was going to be the last time that happened for him.

There was lots of unrest over Dusty's managing style. There was never a sense of urgency with him and it bothered some people. Brook Jacoby is the guy who should have been fired. Still at the end of the day, this team had too much talent to even be playing in the wild card game and someone had to pay for that. The fact that Baker took them back to the playoffs after being gone for so long should have bought him at least next year IMO.
