Tymell Murphy scored 20 points and recorded 10 rebounds to lead the FIU Panthers to a 74-72 win over the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats earlier this afternoon. The Wildcats had a chance to win the game but Kevin Dukes missed on a 3-point attempt for the last shot of the game. Bethune-Cookman was up 26-16 with 6:37 to go in the first half, but FIU rallied to take a 35-32 lead into halftime. Malik Smith scored 15 points, and Jerome Frink recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds to help secure the win for the Panthers. Adrien Coleman led the Wildcats in scoring with 20 points. Dukes came off the bench to score 15 points, making 4 of his 10 attempts from long distance. FIU shot 45.6% (26-57) from the field while Bethune-Cookman shot 38.7% (24-62).
