As a herald of the coming season, UL had it's first public exhibition.

Coach Pitino had a red/white full game scrimmage last night starting at the downtown arean slightly before the football game ended.

This is not as exploited as KY's Midnight Madness held earlier but it is a better exhibition being nearly a regulation game and not just a dunking exhibition.

I was not at the scrimmage but everyone who was is raving about the intensity and banging around and the talent of even the second team. Expectations are high.

Kentucky has scored recruiting hits (again). They may or may not gel into a good team but their talent is there.

A full length red/white game was held yesterday. Everyone looked good. Shooting percent was poor, the defense was tough as nails. Peyton Siva left with a minor ankle sprain. The two 6'-10' and 6'-11" twin towers played a bit on the same team; however, it is generally conceded that 6'-10" Mango (I have not learned how to spell his last name without a crib sheet nearby) will redshirt barring injuries to others like last year.

Chane Behanan has apparently crossed the coach (again) on social media and has been banned from the first exhibition game and from using social media for a semester. He has always been out spoken to an extreme; and, I think he said the "final four was a sure thing" this year, or something similar, to get in the bad graces. Coach Petino likes a tight rein on this sort of thing. LOL.

1st exhibition game played to a packed house at the downtown arena. Overmatched Pikeville University was the opponent. Louisville looked slick and ready; but, keep in mind Pikeville was quite small.

2nd exhibition against local Bellarmine University, perennial NAIA power.

Getting close to the end now, Swamp Daddy

Scrimmages are done, exhibitions are over; and, the season has started for real. Louisville will play down south in the "Battle of Atlantis" soon which features many ranked teams including Duke.

Tonight, we played overmatched Manhattan, in a polished performance that showed high potential for this team.
