Penn-Harvard

Postby BYUfan1 » Sat Feb 11, 2012 3:27 am

Junior Kyle Casey and freshman Corbin Miller scored 32 of the Harvard Crimson's 56 points as Harvard defeated the Pennsylvania Quakers 56-50. In a game marred by poor shooting throughout, it was Harvard that had players that could actually make some baskets. Miller averaged 3.4 ppg going into the game, but converted on 5 of his 10 shots attempts, including 3-of-7 from long distance, on his way to scoring 17 points against Penn. Casey showcased himself as the best player in the game as he was unguardable all night long on his way to registering 15 points and 3 rebounds. Zach Rosen led Penn with 16 points but took a season-high 21 shots, making 6, to get them.

On the night, Penn shot 32% (18-56) from the field and 23% (5-22) from long distance. Harvard shot 35% (17-49) from the field and 21% (4-19) from beyond the arc. Harvard is now 21-2 overall and 7-0 in the Ivy League while Penn falls to 12-11 and 4-2 in conference play.
