Postby BYUfan1 » Wed Feb 08, 2012 9:30 am

The Idaho Vandals came back from a 17-point deficit to defeat the Seattle U Redhawks in a non-conference game 70-69. Deremy Geiger made a 3-pointer with 1:24 left in the game which turned out to be a game-winning shot. The Redhawks shot 50% (18-36) in the first half but only 32% (9-28) in the second half. The Vandals were down 45-33 at the half after shooting 41% (13-32) from the field and just 2-of-10 from the free throw line. Kyle Barone led the way for the Vandals with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Both Geiger and Stephen Madison chipped in with 16 points apiece. In a losing effort for the Redhawks, Aaron Broussard led all scorers with 20 points. The Redhawks fall to 6-14 on the season while the Vandals are now 13-11.
