Fairleigh Dickinson-Quinnipiac

Postby BYUfan1 » Fri Feb 03, 2012 2:20 pm

The Quinnipiac Bobcats led from start to finish in defeating the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights 65-48. Both teams struggled to score at the beginning of the game, but the Bobcats did score the first six points of the game. Quinnpiac's lead eventually increased to 11-2, and the Bobcats led 29-19 at the half.

The Knights shot just 32% (17-53) from the field and made just one 3-pointer on 13 attempts. The Knights were also out-rebounded by the Bobcats 45-30. FDU tied for their season low in turnovers with 11 but only had 5 assists on the night. George Goode had 16 points and 6 rebounds for the Knights. Ike Azotam led the way for the Bobcats with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 steals. Vermont transfer Garvey Young came off the bench and made both of his tries from long distance on his way to scoring 13 points for Quinnipiac. The Bobcats are now 12-10 on the season and 5-6 in the Northeast Conference. The Knights fall to a pathetic 2-20 overall and a rancid 1-10 in conference play.
