The Stony Brook Seawolves turned 14 offensive rebounds into 21 second-chance points as they defeated the New Hampshire Wildcats 61-52. Stony Brook had a 34-18 advantage over New Hampshire in points-in-the-paint and shot 14 free throws while the Wildcats made just three of six free throws. Al Rapier led the Seawolves with 14 points and 9 rebounds while Tommy Brenton chipped with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Alvin Abreu scored 20 points for the Wildcats while shooting 7-of-13 from the field and converting on 4 of his 7 attempts from long range. The Seawolves are now 5-1 in America East play and 10-7 overall while the Wildcats fall to 6-10 and 1-4 in conference play.
