Damian Lillard and Scott Bamforth scored 59 of Weber State's points as the Wildcats came back to win 88-81 over the Portland State Vikings. Portland State led by 15 points with 2:28 to play in the first half. However, Lillard scored 8 points in the final two minutes of the half, including a 40-foot shot at the buzzer to cut Portland State lead at halftime to 51-44. The Vikings had a nine-point lead with less than 13 minutes to go in the game, but the Wildcats went on a 17-5 run to take a 74-71 lead with 6 minutes to go in the game. The game continued to go back-and-forth until the Wildcats closed the deal late by making all 6 of their free throws down the stretch.

Lillard played all 40 minutes in the game and scored 38 points, including 12-for-23 from the field and 8-of-14 from beyond the arc. He also made all six of his free throws and contributed five assists and five rebounds. Bamforth scored 21 points, 19 of which came in the second half. For Portland State, Chehales Tapscott had 26 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Center Nate Lozeau added 13 points and 4 rebounds in the losing effort.
