Postby BYUfan1 » Sun Jan 08, 2012 10:25 am

C.J. Harris hit a 3-point shot with 18 seconds to go to lead the Demon Deacons to a 58-55 win over the Virginia Tech Hokies. Wake Forest had the lead for most of the game, but the Hokies' Erick Green hit a jumper to tie the game at 55 with less than a minute to go. Throughout the first half, Virginia Tech struggled with Wake Forest's zone defense. The Hokies shot just 32.3% in the first half but improved to 48.1% in the second half. For the game, Virginia Tech only attempted 6 free throws in the game, converting on 3 of them.

For the game, Harris had 13 points and 4 assists. Travis McKie chipped in with 12 points and 15 rebounds for Wake Forest. For the Hokies, Green recorded 19 points and 6 assists. Forward Jarell Eddie was the only other Tech player to reach double figures in scoring as he finished with 12 points.
