Hawai'i-South Carolina State Bulldogs

The Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors were sluggish at the beginning of the game but exploded in the second half to defeat the South Carolina State Bulldogs 100-73. The Warriors trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half before cutting the deficit to one at the half 42-41. Hauns Brereton led Hawai'i's attack in the second half by scoring 10 of the team's first 12 points of the half. Brereton finished the game with 22 points. Joston Thomas recorded a double-double for the Warriors by scoring 16 points and collecting 10 rebounds. Hawai'i made 10 of their 18 attempts from beyond the arc.

Aaron Martin led the Bulldogs with 17 points, 6 assists. and 2 steals. South Carolina State shot 17-of-34 in the first half but just 10-of-35 (28.6%) in the second half. The Bulldogs turned the ball over 18 times in the game.
