Houston-North Carolina A&T

Freshman point guard Joseph Young made a 3-pointer with 36 seconds remaining to give the Houston Cougars a 69-67 lead, and the Cougars hung on to defeat the North Carolina A&T Aggies 71-67. For the game, Young had 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Houston had a total of 13 blocks in the game. The game was close throughout as the Aggies held a 30-28 lead at the half. Jonathon Simmons scored all of his 13 points in the second half. Darian Thibodeaux chipped in on Houston's victory with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocked shots.

Marc Hill led the Aggies with 18 points and 7 assists. Hill was 6-of-14 from the field, including 4-of-5 from long distance. Also for NC A&T, Nic Simpson had 14 points and 4 rebounds. For the game, the Aggies made 12 of their 24 shots from 3-point range.
