The George Washington Colonials (4-8) have now lost seven games in a row as the UAB Blazers (4-7) defeated GW 56-49. The Colonials again got off to a slow start as GW trailed 26-16 at the half and at one point were down 23-7. GW suffered through a stretch of over 13 minutes in which the Blazers outscored them 17-1. For the game, the Colonials shot 19-55 from the field (34.5%), including 1-of-9 from 3-point range. GW had 17 steals in the game but only led UAB in points off turnovers 19-15 despite winning the turnover battle 23-10. Lason Kromah set a school record with 9 steals in the game and also had 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Cameron Moore set a school record at UAB with his 24 rebounds against the Colonials. Moore by himself had as many boards as the entire GW team. Moore also scored 19 points in the game. Jordan Swing made all of his 8 free-throw attempts late in the game to end up with 13 points for UAB.
