DePaul-Loyola-Chicago

Postby BYUfan1 » Thu Dec 08, 2011 3:33 am

The DePaul Blue Demons built up a 30-point lead at halftime and then survived a furious comeback by the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers to win on the road 69-58. The Blue Demons led at the the half 47-17. DePaul shot 55.9% from the field in the first half and just 23.8% in the second half. DePaul's press caused the Ramblers fits in the first half but was seldom seen in the second half due to all the missed shots by the Blue Demons. Four players from DePaul reached double-digits in scoring highlighted by Moses Morgan's 13 points coming off the bench. Center Krys Faber chipped in with 12 points and 8 rebounds.

Walt Gibler scored a career-high 29 points for the Ramblers, making 12 of his 18 shot attempts. Joe Crisman was the only other player from Loyola-Chicago to score at least 10 points as he ended up with 14 points, converting on 2 of his 4 shots from 3-point range.
The critic is one who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.
