Pepperdine-Central Michigan

The Chippewas scored the first six points of the game and never looked back as the Central Michigan Chippewas defeated the Pepperdine Waves 67-57. The Waves could not make enough shots to ever threaten the Chippewas. Pepperdine only shot 29.3% from the field (17-58). Strangely enough, that percentage was worse than what the team shot from long distance, 30.4%.
Trey Ziegler led the Chippewas with 16 points, 6 assists, and 7 rebounds. Three other Chippewas, Derek Jackson, Andre Coimbra, and Austin McBroom, scored in double figures. Taylor Darby and Joshua Lowery each had 12 points for the Waves.
