George Washington-Temple

Postby BYUfan1 » Sun Feb 27, 2011 4:04 am

Early on Temple had a tough time getting its offense together with both Michael Eric and Scootie Randal missing from the starting lineup, but Lavoy Allen sparked the Owls to a 57-41 victory over the George Washington Colonials. GW had a 22-10 lead about 12.5 minutes into the game and led at the half 26-23. After shooting just 24.2% in the first half, the Owls made 11 of 20 shots in the second half. The Colonials were just 6 of 32 shooting in the second half. Lavoy Allen led the Owls with 19 points, 16 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots. Temple remains in second place in the Atlantic 10 at 12-2 and 22-6 overall. GW is in sixth place at 8-6 and stands at 15-13 for the season.
