St. Louis-Chicago State

Postby BYUfan1 » Wed Feb 23, 2011 12:57 am

Being just 4-9 in the Atlantic 10, the St. Louis Billikens were in need of a confidence builder, and they found an opponent that was willing to obilge in Chicago State. The Billikens jumped in front early, led 38-21 at the half, and never looked back in a 90-52 victory over the Cougars. Dwayne Evans achieved a double-double by recording 16 points and 17 rebounds. He blocked three shots for good measure. The Billikens shot 50.7% (36-71) for the game while Chicago State shot just 31.6% (18-57). In a losing cause, Carl Montgomery had 22 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block for Chicago State. St. Louis is now 10-17 overall as the Cougars fall to 6-22.
