The Boston University Terriers parlayed superior shooting and inside play to defeat the Stony Brook Seawolves 62-49. BU had 32 points in the paint compared to 14 by Stony Brook. The Terriers shot 22 of 49 (44.9%) from the field and 14-16 from the free-throw line (87.5%), while the Seawolves were 19 of 53 (35.8%) from the field and 6-13 (46.2%) from the free-throw line. John Holland had 17 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, and 3 steals for the Terriers. Also for BU, Darryl Partin had 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Patrick Hazel contributed 12 points and 6 rebounds. In a losing effort, Rayn Dougher had 17 points for the Seawolves.

Tonight marked just the second time in 12 attempts that BU won on the road this season. BU is in 3rd place in the America East with a conference record of 7-4 and an overall record of 12-13. Stony Brook falls to 9-13 and 4-6 in the America East.
