Fairleigh Dickinson-NJIT

Postby BYUfan1 » Wed Feb 02, 2011 2:59 pm

Last night in a battle of New Jersey schools, the NJIT Highlanders defeated the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights 64-62 in overtime. The game marked the third time this year the Knights have lost in overtime. The Knights have now lost five in a row to fall to 4-17 in the season. The Highlanders are now 8-12.

Jheryl Wislon scored NJIT's first 12 points of the game and finished with 19 points. Sean McCarthy did not score but had 9 blocks for the Highlanders. For Farleigh Dickinson, Terence Grier came off the bench to score a career-high 26 points. Unfortunately for Grier, he missed a 25-foot shot at the overtime buzzer that would have given the Knights a much needed win.
