Iman Shumpert recorded a triple-double to help the Yellow Jackets defeat the Hokies 72-57. Shumpert finished the game with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. He even had 7 steals in the game. Brian Oliver had a game high 28 points for Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech is now 8-2 at home with an overall record of 10-9 and 3-3 in the ACC. Jeff Allen had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Virginia Tech. The Hokies scored mainly in the point as the their starting guards Malcolm Delaney and Erick Green combined for just 17 points while shooting 6-for-26 from the field. Tuesday's game was just the second loss in 11 games for Virginia Tech. The Hokies are now 13-6 and 3-3 in the ACC.
