VMI-Marshall

Postby BYUfan1 » Sun Dec 19, 2010 7:37 pm

VMI was suppose to be the prolific 3-point shooting team, but the Marshall Thundering Herd shot 9 of 17 from 3-point range and 58.7% from the field overall to crush the Keydets 98-70. DeAndre Kane made 4 of his 5 attempts from long distance and finished with 19 points and an incredible 13 assists. Also for the Herd, Shaquille Johnson had 19 points, and Damier Pitts had 13 points and 4 assists in his first appearance of the season.

VMI only shot 7 of 31 (22.6%) from 3-point range and 32.5% from the field overall. Stan Okoye had 24 points and 15 rebounds in the losing cause while Michael Sparks contributed 16 points off the bench for VMI.
