2011 recruiting

Postby Dossenator » Wed Oct 20, 2010 3:07 pm

Ark's 2011 recruiting clas is ranked #4 nationally. I know that does not garauntee wins but it helps to get real talent on campus. 3 of the players who have comitted to Ark just won the AAU 17 and under national championship together. All three kids are from Ark...I believe Ark has 5 verbal commits and all are top notch talent...with the most heralded being Ky Madden. The only schools with higher classes for 2011 so far are: Kentucky, Duke, and North Carolina.

Maybe Pelphrey can get Hog ball back to it's glory days of the 1970's to around 2000 (the Eddie Sutton and Nolan Richardson years).

UL has a whopper class for 2011 (if they all come) ranked #2 or 3 depending on where you look. It appears that Petino is making a mild comeback in recruiting  . A few good players for 2012 on tab too. Things are looking up again.

Last week I looked at the recruiting rankings and Arkansas had moved up to #2...only trailing Kentucky. Louisville always has a strong team. I hope Arkansas can get back to the kind of ball they played from the 70's to about 2000 (under Eddie Sutton and Nolan Richardson). The last 10 years have been tough.
