LaSalle-Duquesne

Postby BYUfan1 » Sun Feb 14, 2010 6:09 pm

Ron Everhart decided to change up the way the Dukes have been playing by full-court pressing and subbing five players at a time. At first, the change did not work for Duquesne as LaSalle led 41-27 with 7:41 left by getting many fastbreak baskets. However, the press caused turnovers and easy baskets for the Dukes, and Duquesne went on to win 103-82 after being tied at 49 at the half. Bill Clark set a career high for Duquesne with 34 points. He also had 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Melquan Bolding had 24 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals for the Dukes.

LaSalle had 48 points in the paint and 24 fastbreak points. However, the Explorers also committed 28 turnovers. For LaSalle, Rodney Green led the way with 27 points and 9 rebounds.
