George Washington-Fordham

Postby BYUfan1 » Sat Feb 13, 2010 5:52 pm

Fordham was competitive early but cold shooting killed the Rams chances of winning their first game in 2010 as George Washington defeated Fordham 78-53. Fordham only shot 29.6 percent from the field. There was a ten-minute period in the second half where Fordham made eight free throws but no field goals. Brenton Butler had 11 points for the Rams but shot 1-for-11 from the field and 1-for-8 from three-point range. Senior Damian Hollis set his career high in points as he scored 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Colonials. Freshman Dwayne Smith chipped in with 15 points, three rebounds, and 4 steals for George Washington. Fordham has now lost 16 in a row and has yet to win a conference game in 11 tries.
