Anyone see this game...or at least the highlights. The Hogs are now 10-1. They start 2 freshman, 2 sophmores, and 1 junior. Pelphery is doing a nice job and I think the Hogs can make some noise in the SEC this year. Good win for sure. I am looking forward to the ARK vs Texas game in about a week. Any thoughts on the Ark vs Texas game?

Yeah, I am pretty excited about the Hogs. They are playing the old "40 minutes of ****" pressure defense that Nolan Richardson made famous with the Hogs. They are a fun team to watch. Michael Washington is a beast inside, the Hogs have several guys who can knock down 3's, and Fortsen (freshman point guard) is the real deal.

I was also happy to see Marcus Monk contributing to the team. Monk (played WR for the Hogs...and played Basketball during his freshman year). He was drafted by the Chicago Bears this year and was later released. He played on the Giants practice squad for a short time before being released. He just joined the Razorback Basketball team a little over a week ago when the NCAA ruled he was eligible for the remaining games of this season.

Good luck with your Boilers getting healthy.

Here is an article from Andy Katz talking about each conference (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/s ... id=3801779).

Here is what he says about the SEC and Arkansas in general:
"In the SEC: Kentucky, Florida and Tennessee are forming quite a rivalry in the SEC East. But it's been years since the West had a consistent set of teams, or even one, consistently rise to the top. That team must be Arkansas. It appears the Hogs are steadily climbing back under John Pelphrey with Tuesday's upset win over Oklahoma. But Arkansas must get Bud Walton Arena back to being a feared house in the league. The SEC needs the Razorbacks to be a consistent national player. The fan base is too strong, the history too rich, the name recognition too familiar for Arkansas to be average." Andy Katz

From the time I was a kid until the time I graduated college the Hogs were consistently top 20 and in many years they were top 10 or top 5. Great history and tradition! I feel like they have lost a lot of that since Nolan Richardson. For at least right now today I feel like a little bit of that is back. The Hogs can take a major step in the right direction if they can beat Texas next week.

Go Hogs!
