Butler-South Alabama

Postby BYUfan1 » Fri Apr 18, 2008 12:11 pm

This was actually a close game until there was about 7 minutes left in the first half. That was when Butler's Pete Campbell expoloded from 3-point range and broke the game wide open. South Alabama managed a small rally early in the second half but again faded as Butler won 81-61. Butler survived a subpar effort from Mike Green. Daon Merritt had a strong first half for South Alabama, but their best player, Demetric Bennett, never found a rhythm offensively.
